Shamanic Healing
Shamanism is a deeply rooted traditional system for healing and solving personal and community problems, in which a healing practitioner called a shaman contacts spirits for wisdom and advise, usually by going into an altered state of consciousness. In this altered state, the shaman can see deeper truths for understanding and healing. I incorporate the Mesa into my Shamanic work. The Mesa is an Andean altar that encompasses all of the forces and powers of nature and the universe.
Some of the types of Shamanic work that I do include: (click on stars for details)

Other Healing Modalities...
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy. "A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it. Attunement is a healing art. It is a vibrational practice in which the glands of the endocrine system serve as pathways to receive specific qualities of Spirit into the body’s energy field. Varieties of attunement practices address other anatomical systems as well. The client is seen as a co-creator in the attunement process, often referred to as “sharing attunement”.Attunement is an alignment of ones capacities of the mind, body, and spirit with a deeper meaning of that which lies within. This deeper place within each of us is like an inner star that radiates energy to all of our capacities, as well as reaching out energetically to the life that surrounds us.
Attunement enhances our connection with oneness and integrates our being with vital wholeness. My massage work incorporates the use of heated stones for a sacred stone massage. The client is taken into a very deep space of healing through the use of a short-guided meditation, prayer, and healing sounds. Soothing music is played throughout the session. The session takes place in a special healing room within my home that is filled with sacred art and ceremonial objects.
The stones are used in harmony with my hands to release blocks and tensions within the body that may exist from not only a physical condition, but from an energetic one, as well. I incorporate various massage techniques during the process and connect with the person for their individual needs.
The massage is done with warm oils and lotions, and essential oils are integrated into the process. I view my massage table as an altar that my clients are laying on and treat them with the reverence, respect, beauty, safety, and integrity that they deserve. My training in Cranial Work is with the Upledger Institute. I also practice Somato Emotional Release an advance work of CST. I have been a Training Assistant with the Upledger Institute in the past.
Craniosacral Therapy is a method performed in order to evaluate and enhance the function of the craniosacral system. It is gentle and it involves the use of the hands. As a healing therapy, Craniosacral Therapy has many benefits. These benefits are described below.
The Craniosacral System
The human body is made of several physiological systems, as the cardiovascular system and the respiratory system. The craniosacral system is one of these systems. It offers the physical conditions and environment in which the brain and the spinal cord develop and function.
The brain and the spinal cord are protected by the craniosacral system. They are surrounded by membranes and the cerebrospinal fluid.
The Caniosacral Therapy involves the bones of the head, the spinal column, the sacrum and the underlying structures.
A Craniosacral Therapy implies the use of hands. The hands gently touch the surfaces and add pressure to certain points through special techniques.
The Effects Of The Craniosacral Therapy
The human body has the ability to heal itself. The Craniosacral Therapy is just a method that helps the body in this process.
The craniosacral system has a rhythm that passes through the whole body. Therapists monitor this rhythm by gently touching different area. This monitoring technique helps them identify the sources of obstruction and stress in the body.
The role of the therapist is to help the craniosacral system gain its natural rhythm again, by releasing the points of restriction.
Many illnesses can be assisted by Craniosacral Therapy. Especially childhood ailments, like poor sleep, restlessness, colic and ear infections, may be eased through the use of this therapy.
As it involves only gently touching, even little babies can be treated in their sleep. A spirit inspired moving meditation harmonizing with the energies of the natural world. Soul Chi encompasses warm ups, sitting meditation, and self inspired tai chi type movements sourced by each person. Soul Chi is a creation of Daniel Baxley. Classes are offered in this personal wellness modality. I provide spiritual counseling session for those who are searching for answers to questions on their life path. Working together we explore the deeper meaning behind obstructions and conditions within the self that may inhibit the persons happiness and well-being. This is a co creative process that helps the client to see past what may be right in front of them to the unrevealed aspects causing their concern.
The use of many of the techniques that are incorporated into my practice may be used to assist the client in coming to this understanding. Oftentimes a it requires a willingness to surrender to a fixed way of seeing themselves on behalf of the client and looking at their life with different eyes.
The client may be asked to do on going work in between sessions to aid in the facilitation of the process, or the work may be complete in a single session.
